Guidelines/Policies for Weddings At
Morning Star Baptist Church

Contact the Church Office
When you contact the church office to express your wedding desires, the office will then put you in contact with the Wedding Coordinator. The coordinator will guide you through making the necessary arrangements for your special day.

Submit Your Request in Writing
Submit your request in writing with the engaged couple's name, wedding date, and wedding rehearsal date to ensure the availability of the sanctuary and the Pastor. Once this is approved by the Board, the coordinator will then assist you in arranging the necessary meetings between you and the Pastor.

Pre-Martial Counseling Sessions
Pre-martial counseling sessions are available by the Pastor. You may ask questions and/or discuss concerns you may have regarding marriage. Counseling sessions are a vital part of marriage preparation and a lasting relationship.

Church Facilities
Please DO NOT move any items in the main sanctuary without first getting the approval from the Pastor. All furniture items are to remain in their designated location.

Dressing areas are available in the lower fellowship hall only. The administrative offices are prohibited.

Assure that when using our sanctuary or fellowship hall for the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception, you must provide your clean-up committee. Floral arrangements, candelabras, candle wax dripping, etc. must be removed from the sanctuary immediately following the ceremony and pictures have been taken. This will give us ample time to have the sanctuary ready for service on Sunday.

Use of the kitchen and fellowship hall will be supervised by Kitchen Staff and Trustees.

Eating will only be allowed in the Fellowship Hall
